Confusing Words: Bored/Boring

Welcome to Part 2 of the Confusing Words Show!

Many people confuse certain words that are similar and use them incorrectly. Today's confusing words are "bored/boring".

Teacher Rachel explains the differences between these words and how to use them correctly.

Watch the video and then do the following exercises:

Choose the correct word.

1. The book was very long and (bored/boring).
2. My neighbor tells the most (bored/boring) stories. I try to avoid her.
3. She left the party early because it was very (bored/boring).
4. We like our teacher because we never feel (bored/boring) in her class.
5. He likes video games but I think they are (bored/boring).
6. My neighbor who tells (bored/boring) stories thinks I am (bored/boring)!
7. They were (bored/boring) with their vacation after the first day.
8. Trying to be like everybody else is (bored/boring).
9. I was so (bored/boring) at the concert, I almost cried!
10. Don't stay at home and be (bored/boring). Come play with us!

Answers:
