I am originally from the United States, but now I live in the wonderful city of Barcelona, Spain. Besides English, I am fluent in Spanish and Catalan, the regional language of Catalonia.

Learning these languages has helped me understand the challenges my students face in learning English. I know how difficult - yet how rewarding - learning a new language, and understanding a new culture, can be!

Some things I enjoy are writing, hiking, learning languages, and flamenco music. My partner and I also love to travel, meet people from different parts of the world and learn about their cultures. Together, we have traveled to over 40 countries! We consider ourselves citizens of the world, and we believe that one of the joys of life is the opportunity to understand how people live in different parts of the world. In fact, one of the reasons I love teaching so much is that I learn so much from my students about their culture and way of life.
